Determined by the disodium ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid titration method. The measurement principle is that under pH (10 ± 0.1) conditions, disodium ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA-2Na) forms soluble colorless complexes with calcium and magnesium ions in water, and chromium black T is used as an indicator. When all calcium and magnesium ions in water are complexed with EDTA-2Na, chromium black T is released. The solution changed from purple red to blue.
