The KMW-668 type total iron water quality analyzer is a new generation water quality analyzer product independently developed by Kaiming Technology (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd. It has the characteristics of platformization, miniaturization, modularity, and intelligence. The instrument adopts the national standard HJ/T 345-2007 "Determination of Iron in Water Quality - Phenanthroline spectrophotometric method" as the detection principle, which can quickly and accurately measure the concentration of total iron in water quality.

The water sample to be tested undergoes pretreatment, and the dissolved water sample is reduced with hydroxylamine hydrochloride to form a stable orange complex with phenanthroline in a solution between pH 3-9. The degree of color change is proportional to the content of iron ions in the water sample. The analyzer detects this color change and converts it into iron ion values for output.
