The KMW-661 total chromium water quality analyzer is a new generation water quality analyzer product independently developed by Kaiming Technology (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd. It has the characteristics of platformization, miniaturization, modularity, and intelligence. The instrument adopts the national standard GB 7466-87 "Determination of total chromium in water quality - Diphenylcarbazide spectrophotometric method" as the detection principle, and can quickly and accurately measure the concentration of total chromium in water quality.

The tested water sample is in an acidic solution, and the trivalent chromium in the sample is oxidized by potassium persulfate to hexavalent chromium. Hexavalent chromium reacts with diphenylcarbazide to form a purple red complex. The analyzer detects the change in color and converts this change into the value of chromium for output.
