The KMW-667 total cadmium water quality analyzer is a new generation water quality analyzer product independently developed by Kaiming Technology (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd. It has the characteristics of platformization, miniaturization, modularity, and intelligence. The instrument adopts the detection principle of "Xylenol Orange Hexadecylpyridine Chloride spectrophotometric method for determining cadmium in wastewater", which can quickly and accurately measure the concentration of total cadmium in water quality.

In the solution of hexadecylpyridine chloride (CPC), cadmium reacts with xylenol orange to form a purple red ternary complex, which can be used as a sensitive reaction for photometric determination of trace cadmium. The degree of color change is proportional to the cadmium content in the water sample. The analyzer detects this color change and converts it into the value of cadmium for output.
